Sending Photos for Engraving - JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIF

Send a few different photos.  Not all photos make great engraving.

Photographs that produce the best results usually well lit with few shadows on the individual.  Clear, bright photos will little background interference work well.  Photographs containing large areas of a single color typically do not engrave well – especially when working with wood.  Avoid pictures with expansive backgrounds containing only one or two small subjects.  Any shadows or shading will be picked up and enhanced during engraving.

A photo resolution of 300 DPI is recommended.  If scanning in a photo, scan in colour and use a 300 DPI resolution.  We will engrave your photos at 300 DPI, using a higher resolution creates an overly large image which can be difficult to work with.

Personalisation:  Up to 15 characters of text, please.  More than that will make the text too small to read.
